2 killed, 4 seriously injured in Connecticut head-on crash

No one wants to hear about deaths or serious injuries following a car accident; even in cases where a driver is negligent, no one usually wants someone else to get hurt. Despite that, if you're in a car accident and are hurt or lose a loved one, it's your right to make a claim against the person responsible, whether that's a driver in your own vehicle or one in another. They should be held responsible for their actions, and that includes compensating you for your loss.

A number of people in Bristol, Connecticut, may be in a position like yours. According to a news release, a head-on collision resulted in two children passing away and several adults suffering serious injuries. It was around 12:30 a.m. when a 2014 Nissan headed north crossed the center line and hit a Ford Windstar. The woman and front-seat passenger in the Nissan were transported to local hospitals by the emergency teams.

In the second vehicle, the driver and front-seat passenger suffered serious injuries that required immediate medical treatment. One was taken to a hospital in Hartford, while a second was taken to Waterbury. The victims reportedly suffered from injuries to their heads, legs, and chests. There may have been a third passenger in the Ford, but police reported that the passenger fled before they arrived.

Police at the scene reported that they suspect they will be placing charges and that arrests will be made soon. The incident is under investigation, although there has been a discussion about texting and driving and how it may have played a role in this tragic accident.
