Bicycle Accidents
The bicycle is arguably the most commonly used children’s toy. Yet bicycles are responsible for more childhood injuries than any consumer product except the automobile. Every year in the United States, about 500,000 children are injured and 250 die in bicycling accidents.
While bike paths are becoming more common sights, bicyclists are still often forced to share the road with drivers, making for a deadly combination. Connecticut, one of the most densely populated states in the nation, has many congested streets that put driver and bicyclist even closer.
