A 17-year-old girl in Connecticut was recently killed in a car accident. She and a friend were walking across a street when they were hit. The friend lived, though he suffered from serious injuries, and the girl passed away.
Now, though, a bucket list she wrote out while she was in school has been going viral. The girl had just graduated from high school, and the list had been a project she’d been assigned.
It wasn’t a long list, but the last item on it was notable. She’d written down that she wanted to save someone’s life.
The friend who lived through the incident has gone on record—and told her family—as saying that she helped to save his life. He said that his final memory from before the accident was that she had pushed him. At the same time, she’d told him to hurry up. He credits her push with getting him far enough out of the way that he was not killed, even though it meant that she was not able to save herself.
The woman who hit the girl and her friend was from Brookfield. According to the police, she is 23 years old. The police are still investigating the accident, and they have not given out any charges at this time.
However, that didn’t stop the story from spreading on social media sites. The family found some comfort in the fact that her last act had been such a noble one.
