3 Men Injured in Crash with Semi on Highway

If you're working in construction and have been a highway worker, you know that speeding vehicles and unsafe drivers put your life at risk every day. If you're hurt, you have to contact your attorney and make a claim, which can be helpful when you need to be focusing on recovering. Usually, with the right help, you can get the compensation you need as long as you can prove that the other party was at fault.

Three people were hurt in a crash when a large tractor-trailer that was transporting bottled water struck a number of construction vehicles on Interstate 91. The three vehicles, which belong to Mohawk Construction Company, were located close to exit 20 of the highway. There, workers were putting up signs for a construction job when the driver of the tractor-trailer moved into their lane.

According to the story, a 40-year-old worker was putting up signs when the 55-year-old man driving the semi moved into the breakdown lane of the highway. That's where the three other vehicles were parked, resulting in a multi-vehicle crash.

One man was in the rear bed of the third vehicle, and the impact caused him to hit his head. Another employee, a 54-year-old, and a fellow worker, a 35-year-old, both jumped over the guardrail to avoid the collision. Both had minor injuries following the collision.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to the scene to investigate despite the fact that none of the injuries were expected to be life threatening. State police have reported that they have cited the driver of the semi for failing to stay a reasonable distance away from the construction team among other violations.
